Choose the product before measuring the file
A sharp image at business card size may be too small for a poster. Choose the finished size and check the active bleed profile before judging resolution. The artwork checker calculates full bleed placement from the original pixel dimensions. Cropping can remove content even when the remaining pixels are sharp enough.
Use the original image
Start with the largest original PNG, JPG, or WebP you have. A screenshot or an enlarged copy does not restore missing detail. The checker works locally and explains its resolution calculation. It does not certify color accuracy, inspect a PDF, or determine whether the image is appropriate for your particular paper or press.
Resolve issues while the design is editable
In the studio, inspect both sides, spelling, contact details, small text, image placement, and the safe boundary. Run the print file checks after your last change. Resolve errors and read the warnings; a mathematically valid file can still contain a typo or an unhelpful message.
Confirm the profile and color workflow
The production PDF preserves text and shapes as vectors, embeds supported fonts, and includes trim and bleed page boxes. It uses RGB. Confirm that your print provider accepts that workflow and the product geometry, especially when the profile is marked as a planning profile. Special finishes need separate approved instructions.
Hand over context with the artwork
Download the handoff package after the print file checks pass. Keep the editable project, print PDF, and report together so someone can understand the intended size and outstanding warnings. The package does not place an order or guarantee supplier approval. Retain your original assets and review the final production proof.
