Wording worksheet
Decide what the person should do after they meet you, then fill in only the lines that support it. Most strong cards carry five or six lines on the front.
| Name as you introduce yourself | |
|---|---|
| Title or what you do, in plain words | |
| Business name | |
| Main way to reach you (the one you answer fastest) | |
| Second contact line | |
| Website or booking link | |
| License or credential number, if your trade requires it | |
| Back of card: one useful message or offer |
Proof checklist
- Name spelled exactly as it appears on your email signature
- Phone number dialed from another phone and it rings
- Email typed fresh and a test message received
- Website opens on a phone, no typo in the domain
- QR code scanned from the proof on two different phones
- Nothing important sits outside the safe area
- Background color or photo runs fully into the bleed
- Text is at least 7 pt and readable at arm length
- Front and back are in the right orientation
- Stock, finish and quantity match what you intended
Quantity planner
| Situation | Typical order | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Trying a new design or title | 100 to 250 | Reorder once the wording has been tested in real conversations |
| Steady networking, one person | 250 to 500 | Roughly a few cards a day for several months |
| Events, trade shows, drop offs | 500 to 1,000 | Lowest price per card, check storage and details first |
| Team of several people | 250 each | Order everyone together so stock and color match |
Larger runs lower the price per card. Compare the ladder on any business card product page before you choose.
