PRINT FOR TRADE SHOW BOOTH

A booth people can read from the aisle.

Plan trade show printing with retractable banners, fitted tablecloths, brochures, and business cards that survive three days on a show floor.

How to plan it.

A trade show booth is read in two passes. The first happens at walking speed from about twenty feet, where all anyone takes in is your name and what you do. The second happens at the table, where the detail matters. Design for both distances and stop trying to make one piece do both jobs.

Your banner carries the twenty foot message: company name and a short line about what you make. Everything explanatory belongs on the brochure someone picks up after they have already stopped. A fitted tablecloth is the cheapest way to make a rented table look like a stand you planned.

Bring more business cards than you think you need and keep them somewhere you can reach without breaking a conversation. Most leads are lost to fumbling, not to a weak pitch.

Before you order.

  • Check the banner height against the ceiling and any hanging rig the venue uses
  • Confirm the table dimensions with the organizer before ordering a fitted cloth, because booth tables are rarely a standard size
  • Print the brochure to fit a bag or a jacket pocket, not a briefcase
  • Pack a small kit: tape, scissors, a marker and spare cards
