These are original editorial planning resources. Each kit explains its purpose, gives a worked scenario and links to a deeper guide. They do not inspect artwork, confirm mailing eligibility or authorize production.

Before design

Poster site survey

Turn a real wall, counter or display into a measured poster brief.

A finished paper size does not tell you how much of the message a frame will cover or whether customers approach from the side. Record the placement before choosing the artwork. Repeat this worksheet for each location rather than assuming one design works everywhere.

  1. Measure the visible opening and record units, orientation and mounting constraints.
  2. Stand where the audience first encounters the display; describe the approach and the one message they should recognize.
  3. Try a paper outline at the proposed size. Record what changes after the test.

This is a site observation worksheet. It does not calculate safe mounting loads, accessibility compliance or a universal readable font size.

Before design

Window poster visibility log

Compare a window display at different times and from both sides of the glass.

A layout that looks clear from inside the shop can disappear behind reflections outside. Keep observations tied to a specific viewpoint and time. The point is to test the location and construction together, not to declare one finish universally best.

  1. Identify the intended viewing side and the times when the message matters.
  2. Observe a mockup from the pavement in at least two lighting conditions.
  3. Record blocked text, reflections and backing needs for the production conversation.

A visual check cannot establish UV resistance, adhesive suitability or outdoor life. Ask the supplier about the complete material and installation.

Multi-location display register

Keep sizes, artwork versions and installation ownership straight across locations.

A campaign across several sites can fail when a correct file reaches the wrong holder. Use one record per site and display position. Match each location to a physical format and an approved artwork reference before sending quantities to production.

  1. Give every display position a short, unambiguous location code.
  2. Confirm the required version and quantity at that location.
  3. Record receipt, installation and removal separately; delivery alone is not evidence that the display went up.

This register does not submit print orders, schedule installers or confirm delivery. Enter only status you have verified.

Before design

Postcard message brief

Give the front, back and call to action different jobs before laying out the card.

Postcards have limited attention as well as limited space. Decide what the recipient should understand and do before adding offers, photographs and contact details. A writing brief helps the designer preserve a clear hierarchy while leaving room for any required mailing layout.

  1. Name one audience and one reason the card is relevant to them.
  2. Draft a promise for the front and an explanation for the back without repeating every sentence.
  3. Write the exact next step and record any conditions that must accompany the offer.

Confirm offer terms, claims and mailing layout before production. This worksheet does not certify advertising or postal compliance.

Prepare rollout

Postcard mailing handoff

Collect the questions your printer and mail provider must settle together.

A print format and a postal classification are different decisions. Reserve a place in the brief for the service your provider confirms, the artwork layout and the method for transferring data. Keep recipient records out of this worksheet; it is a coordination document, not a mailing list.

  1. Record the intended country, campaign timing and distribution approach.
  2. Ask the provider to confirm eligibility, address layout and the correct artwork template for the selected service.
  3. Agree how recipient data will be transferred securely and who verifies the final proof.

No postage price, eligibility decision or mailing certification is produced. Do not paste recipient addresses or other personal data into the worksheet.

Measure results

Postcard A/B test plan

Write the question, allocation and decision rule before sending the campaign.

Changing the offer, audience and design together makes the result difficult to interpret. This plan keeps one intended change visible and records differences that might explain an outcome. It also leaves room to conclude that a small test was inconclusive.

  1. State the single question and the one planned difference between variants.
  2. Describe how comparable recipients or distribution opportunities are allocated.
  3. Define the outcome and observation window before reviewing the results.

This worksheet is not a statistical significance calculator. Small groups, or groups not chosen at random, do not establish that a variant will perform better in future campaigns.

Prepare rollout

Postcard distribution log

Separate printed, delivered, distributed and leftover pieces.

Printing 1,000 cards does not mean 1,000 people received them. A distribution log makes campaign denominators more defensible and shows where stock stopped moving. Keep a record for each location, date range and version instead of combining unlike batches.

  1. Record the version and batch reference when stock reaches a location.
  2. Count or document distribution using a consistent method.
  3. Record leftovers, damaged pieces and transfers so the closing balance can be explained.

A distribution count does not prove that recipients read the card. Mailing delivery and undeliverable records should come from the relevant provider.

Measure results

Print campaign measurement dictionary

Agree what a scan, enquiry, booking and sale mean before comparing results.

Different teams can attach the same label to different events. A shared definition prevents scans from being presented as sales or repeated visits from being treated as unique people. Record the system of record and the known attribution gaps beside each measure.

  1. List each event the campaign can actually observe.
  2. Write its inclusion rules, duplication rules and observation window.
  3. Separate attributed results from evidence of incremental impact.

This worksheet installs no analytics and does not establish causality. Avoid entering individual customer records or sensitive information.

Seasonal print changeover checklist

Plan the removal of expired offers as carefully as the installation of new ones.

An old poster can keep making a promise after a campaign ends. A changeover record connects the dates on the artwork to the person who replaces it. Include less visible locations, spare stock and destination pages that customers may reach from old cards.

  1. List every active display and stored batch carrying dated information.
  2. Assign a removal or review date and a responsible role.
  3. Confirm the replacement message and what an old QR destination should explain after the offer ends.

This checklist does not automatically remove displays, change webpages or determine how long an offer must legally remain available.
