Steel keeper cups are the top tier. Some options are insulated for warm drinks, and they are the cup somebody still has a year later. They also cost the most per unit, which is what makes them a reward rather than a handout.

The minimum order row decides more events than any other. You can order 18 reusable cups for a small launch. You cannot order 18 clear PET cold cups, because those ship by the case of a thousand, with the 24 oz size arriving as two cases of 600.
What the artwork has to survive
Every cup here is a cylinder, so the same rules apply as on any vessel.
The usable area is a band with a seam, not a rectangle. A cylinder shows slightly less than half of itself at once, so the mark that matters belongs in the middle third of the visible arc. Taper reduces the band toward the base, and a lid removes height at the top.
We hold no imprint sheet for these products, so the design canvas draws no trim, bleed or safe area for them and presents itself as a visual concept. The two honest routes to a correct file are the product template or your own print ready artwork, with placement confirmed by our team before production. Accepted artwork formats on the custom cups product are JPEG, PNG, PDF, AI and PPT.
Material changes the decoration and the care
Materials in the range include plastic, stainless steel, polypropylene and acrylic, and some options are insulated for warm drinks.
Steel behaves like the rest of our insulated drinkware: durable, substantial and usually happier hand washed, with engraving available on some vessels for a mark that lasts as long as the cup. Plastics and acrylic take printing, and their wash tolerance varies, so read the care line for the exact option rather than generalizing.
As always, the food contact question belongs to the inner surface and the lid rather than the printed outside. The FDA regulates materials that touch food as food contact substances, with basic polymers for single and repeated use surfaces covered in 21 CFR part 177 subpart B, and our clear PET cold cups are described as BPA free and nontoxic.
Making a reusable cup actually get reused
The environmental argument for a reusable cup only works if it is reused, and the FTC Green Guides are clear that environmental claims need a reasonable basis and that broad, unqualified claims should be avoided. So treat reuse as a design problem, not a slogan.
- Make it the right size for everyday use, not just for the event pour.
- Put one mark on it, not a date, because a dated cup expires.
