For packaged product, yes, and the deadline is more recent than many bakers realize. Sesame became the ninth major food allergen in the United States on January 1, 2023 under the FASTER Act, so any older label template you are reusing predates it. FDA accepts the allergen named in parentheses after the ingredient, as in flour (wheat), or a separate contains statement after the ingredient list. Leave real space for that line rather than squeezing it in at the end, and check your state rules for items sold unpackaged.

Clear plastic. It is oil and water resistant, which is what a case with condensation and a product with butter in it both demand. Paper labels are for dry goods at room temperature and will darken or lift once fat or moisture reaches them. Hang tags are the wrong tool here entirely, since they are not waterproof or water resistant. Whatever you pick, stick a test label on the actual jar or box, put it in the actual case overnight and look at it in the morning.

Check before you do. Pillow boxes print on the outside only and the inside stays uncoated 12 pt paperboard, and uncoated white board is not the same as a certified food contact liner. For anything buttery or oily, put a glassine or wax sheet in first, which also keeps the inside of the box clean for the customer. Confirm direct food contact and grease resistance for your specific product before you build a packaging program around a single box format.
