1. Choose one primary job

A thank-you card can acknowledge the purchase and give a readable support address. A care insert needs product-approved instructions. A reorder card needs a maintained destination. Keep essential information on the card; a QR code should help customers reach detail without hiding the basics.

2. Test the fit in a packed parcel

The Studio planning canvas is 6 × 4 inches. Final size, stock and printed sides need confirmation with the quote. Cut a paper mockup and pack it with the product and protective material. Check visibility, bending, removal and whether it interferes with protection. Repeat for each package size.

3. Confirm the surface and artwork

If staff will write a name or note, test the intended pen on the actual stock and finish. Review both sides at the final size, confirm text orientation and keep important content inside the approved safe area. Ask for the production template before export.

A quantity example you can adapt

For an illustrative batch of 240 parcels with one insert each, plus 20 cards reserved for packing mistakes and samples, plan 260 cards. This is a planning total, not an available order quantity or demand forecast. If two product versions need different instructions, count each separately and confirm printing and bundling by version.

Record final dimensions, printed sides, quantity per version, paper preference, handwriting needs, pack-fit observations, artwork status and the requested delivery date. Ask whether version sorting or counted bundles are available and included. Include shipping and artwork preparation when comparing prices.

Your artwork, in three clear steps

  1. Start at the final size. Use the selected product template. Extend background artwork through the bleed; keep names, logos and contact details inside the safe area.
  2. Use your originals. Use the highest-resolution original images. Enlarging a screenshot does not restore detail. Review both sides, spelling, crop and any QR code at actual size.
  3. Review before ordering. Attach the final file to the selected product. For supported Studio formats, export the print PDF and review its report. The Studio uses RGB; specialty finishes, folds and dielines require product-specific instructions.
