Custom Kiss-Cut Stickers
A sticker has two moments: the first impression in someone’s hand and the shape that remains after peeling. Plan a kiss-cut sticker around both. The surrounding backing gives the piece a presentation area, while the removable sticker needs to communicate on its own. Start with the destination and the message that should travel there.
Name both measurements
Record the overall backing dimensions separately from the intended sticker width and height. A generous handout does not necessarily mean a large applied logo. Make two paper mockups: one for the whole piece and one for the removable shape. Put the smaller mockup on the intended surface, then check the whole piece against your envelope, display tray or packaging insert.
Keep the lasting message on the sticker
Place the identity people need to retain inside the sticker itself. If you want a short invitation or website around it, request confirmation that the backing area can be printed for your chosen setup. Review that surrounding message as optional presentation content. A contact detail that disappears with discarded backing should not be the only way to recognize your business.
Compare the handoff, then review the outline
Compare a backed handout with a die-cut single by asking how each will be presented, carried and applied. Trace the proposed sticker outline on a proof and check that it does not divide important lettering. Flag tiny protrusions, narrow connections and enclosed details for production review. Do not assume an automatic outline preview establishes the final cut path or an acceptable clearance.
Send one unambiguous brief
Include the artwork, the two intended measurements, a surface description and whether backing decoration is requested. Stock and finish are currently confirmed with the quote; specify exposure and handling needs instead of choosing a material by appearance alone. Keep the approved proof beside the final file so a later reorder preserves the relationship between backing, border and artwork.

Is backing size the same as sticker size?
Treat them as separate specifications. Ask which measurement a proposed option describes before approving it; a mockup should show both boundaries.
Can I use the backing for extra copy?
Include that request in your brief. Backing print availability and usable space need confirmation for the selected production setup.

- Start at the final size. Use the selected product template. Extend background artwork through the bleed; keep names, logos and contact details inside the safe area.
- Use your originals. Use the highest-resolution original images. Enlarging a screenshot does not restore detail. Review both sides, spelling, crop and any QR code at actual size.
- Review before ordering. Attach the final file to the selected product. For supported Studio formats, export the print PDF and review its report. The Studio uses RGB; specialty finishes, folds and dielines require product-specific instructions.

What's the difference between kiss cut and die cut?
Die cut stickers are cut all the way through both sticker and backing, so the sticker matches its backing's shape. Kiss cut stickers cut only the sticker layer: the backing stays larger, giving you a border to hold while you peel. For fast handouts, kiss cut is the friendlier option.
Are kiss cut stickers waterproof?
Yes. Plastic materials are water resistant and made for outdoor use, rain or shine.
Can I get samples first?
Not through a sample program, but quantities start at 10, so a small trial run is easy.
Can I use my own artwork?
